WAN-IFRA India is conducting a workshop on data visualisation and infographics  on 26-27 November 2018 in Bangalore.

An information graphics translate data into visual medium that is easy to understand and engaging. The design should tell a story quickly, concisely and in an entertaining fashion, not a push to buy something.

This workshop is designed in such a way that the understanding of the techniques to evaluate the graphics for breaking news with exercises and on day 2, enterprise graphics – will help to learn on how to produce long term projects that are meaningful to your audience and the organisation.

Sergio Peçanha is the trainer for the two day workshop.Sergio is a graphics and multimedia editor at The New York Times. He has worked on interactive and print pieces about a wide range of subjects, including the Syrian civil war, the nuclear deal between the United States and Iran and a wide range of breaking news subjects. Before New York, he was the graphics director of The Dallas Morning News, in Texas, and a designer at O Globo and Globo.com, in Brazil. His work has been recognize multiple times by the Malofiej, Society for News Design and Communication Arts.
